Nestled along the Monongahela River just above the Point Marion Lock and Dam, and beside the Sheepskin Trail, Point Marion Park has a rich history for being a place where everyone can gather to enjoy our riverfront, make friends, have good times, and make cherished memories.
The Point Marion Park is best known for the Albert Gallatin Regatta, an annual 2-day event which was established in 1979 and takes place on Sat & Sun, every Memorial Day weekend. Powerboat Races are one of the great highlights of this beloved event!
Other past park events included: “Back-to-School” Kids Day, a Fallfest vendor event, a Family Fun Day, Trunk-or-Treat, and “Santa-in-the Park”.

We have recently been awarded a grant for a new ADA-accessible restroom and ADA playground equipment. However, we are responsible for raising the required 15% matching funds to make these improvements possible.

Riverfront Park Associates is committed to creating a park that is welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. Through fundraising, grants, and the generosity of our community, we are able to continue making improvements that might otherwise not be possible.
The RFPA has just been awarded a grant (September 15, 2026) that will provide us the opportunity to pave the half-mile walking trail around the perimeter of the park. This will enable those with mobility issues and/or disabilities, the opportunity to access the trail with great ease.
Your donation also helps us continue supporting future park improvements, beautification efforts, and other projects that make Point Marion Park a better place for everyone.
